Diversity of life
Reminders
Today the grade 6’s presented what they learned about butterflies,
life-cycle and habitats with the grade 1’s, 2/3’s and SK’s.
In mathematics the grade 6’s learned how to calculate rates
Questions can be found on page 330 and 331 questions 2,3 4 and 6. The grade 7’s
continued their study of algebra. The student’s finished reading Hatchet and
discussed their opinion of the novel. Lastly for the unit of inquiry, they had
a nature walk to explore the diversity of plants and animals in the school
yard. Well done!
This week the students completed their DRA and OWA final
assessments.

June IB learner Profile: Reflective and Appreciative
Reminders
Please remember that students will need to be picked up
from the cinema on Friday.
Spring Concert
Arrive back at school for 6:30 pm for the concert tomorrow
night. Please wear full dress uniform.
Today the students celebrated their final IB assembly of the
year and played a mash up of this year's house games. Thank you to Miss Cranfield
for always organizing fun and creative games.
Congratulations to Sophie who was awarded the IB Learner
for the month of May for Integrity.
Today the students read another chapter of the novel,
completed their art, participated in spring concert preparation and worked on
final assessments.

Spring is in the air
Today the students read chapter 13 of Hatchet and participated in the Spring Concert Dress Rehearsal. Please practice the lyrics for Stompin' Tom's Good Ol' Hockey Game.

Grade 6 – No math homework.
Extra practise sheet - do as many as needed.
During math, the grade 7’s begun their study of algebra and
the grade 6’s continued
The students continued reading the novel Hatchet and had a
period to work on their Exhibition essays. On Friday the class read chapter 5
and today the completed chapter 6 + 7. As usual they had gym and music. Please

The continued preparing for the spring concert.
