The French lesson took place in the grade 5/6 classroom and
the students enjoyed being in their own seats.
The first work period was used to review the group check
lists and assign jobs for the day. Groups made appointments with their mentors
for break and lunch recess. The students worked well and accomplished a great
deal.
After first recess, I worked with each group individually on
areas of need. The primary tasks were to edit content for the display boards
and presentation slides.
The students had their usual music lesson for the day. During
the last Unit of inquiry period the students continued to work. Lastly, at the
end of the day students met to establish homework tasks.
Students should be
working on missing slides, speaking notes and PowerPoint / Prezi transitions.
