Mad minute - multiplication facts for all students.
Grade 5's lesson 10 multiplying 2 digit numbers. The garde fives learned to find products to problems such as 14 x 24. The grade 6's also reviewed this concept.
The grade 6's had the period to work on and correct the BEDMAS problems.
Library time
Unit of inquiry
Research and lesson on the major phyla of the animal kingdom. The students looked at the habitat, general physical shape, symmetry and scientific name of the groups. The students had an fantastic time inquiring about new and familiar animals.
