Today was a lovely day at the Maples, the sun was shining, spirits were up and the students were very productive.
Math
In Math the Grade 6's continued their work on integers. Questions 1 - 4 on page 22 of the Math Makes Sense textbook.
The Grade 5's were given their unit assignment its should take 2 - 3 lessons to complete. The students will be given class time to complete the assessment. The first letter in the secret code is A.
Language
The students had a work period to complete spelling, language skills or their lab report. The second letter in the secret code is P.
Spelling post test will be administered on Thursday.
Unit 8 spelling exercises are due on Tuesday November 10th
Language skills unit 7 exercises are also due on Tuesday November 10th

Music
After lunch the students had a creative music lesson with Mrs. Angus. Parents please check their agenda to see which pieces they have been asked to practice. The fourth letter in the secret code is L.
UOI
The students completed their UOI reflection for the diversity of living things unit. The last letter in the secret code is E.
