Assembly
For the month of February the principal's choice was Kayleigh, she exhibits caring and empathy for her peers across the school community. Well done!

For the month of April, teachers will be looking for commitment and balance. IB students are those that, "... understand the importance of balancing different aspects of our lives�intellectual, physical, and emotional�to achieve well-being for ourselves and others. We recognize our interdependence with other people and with the world in which we live."

House games
Mrs. Whitworth conducted a stellar house games, Kappa was victorious and the children had  a lot of fun.

Spelling/language 
Unit 16 spelling post-test. Please sign copies of the pre- and post- test for this unit. Students worked on grammar skills 11 and submitted grammar skills 10 to be checked.

Art
The students painted their masks and they look great.

UOI
The topics being studied are women's rights, child rights, terrorism, and animal rights.

Everyone was assigned their first or second choice and we moved onto step two of the booklet.
For homework students need to brainstorm issues and question they have regarding their topic. You must consult with your parents to create an extensive list so we can narrow your focus for your research. If possible, please go to your local library to get books or magazine's on your topic. News articles from a major paper will also be acceptable.
