OWA
The students were relaxed, had their feet up and were ready for story time. Just kidding! The students read a series of narrative exemplars ranging from level 1 to 4. The samples covered the 4 grading criteria, knowledge and understanding, application, communication and thinking.  They collaboratively identified the features of a good story and the shortcomings of a poor one. They correctly identified the levels for all 5 samples. They began writing their pre-assessment for their Ontario Writing Assessment, and will continue the activity tomorrow.
