Grade 5's corrected Show What You Know.
Revision task
Complete unit 2 practice book activities. You should work on the skills that you need extra practise with. Completing zero activities is not an option!!!

UOI - Language
Spelling unit 6 review test.

This is a good check point to evaluate the spelling group assignments. Some students will be asked to move up in difficulty for the unit 7 spelling words.

The students presented their literature circles activities, and continued reading chapter 13 and 14 of their novel study.

Music
As usual after lunch the students had a music lesson with Mrs. Angus. Parents please check their agenda to see which pieces they have been asked to practise.

UOI - Writing
When writing narratives it is important for students to correctly indicate speech. Today they worked on, How to Use Quotations Marks a Treehouse activity.
Any outstanding activities are due tomorrow.

The students received their marked Snow Day assignments.

"Haiku (俳句 high-koo) are short three-line poems with a 5-7-5 syllable structure that use sensory language to capture a feeling or image." (Wikihow, 2016)

Poetry requires inspiration! The class took a nature hike through the field and back garden to experience, appreciate, and jump start their imaginations.

They will be composing 2 haiku's.

  1. about autumn
  2. a topic of their choice.
This will be completed by Friday.

Thanks Spencer! This was hilarious.
