Grade 6 no math homework

Math
Mad Minute Friday quiz.

The grade 5's conducted an inquiry on capacity of different containers. The capacity is the amount of liquid or gas that can be held in a container. The next lesson is relating capacity to volume.

The grade 6's began the first part of surface area of a rectangular prism. The lesson will be continued on Monday.





UOI  x2
The UOI lessons were jam-packed with learning today. The students learned about the anatomy of the heart in the first half of the lesson. They will be assessed on the anatomy of the heart. **Hint- hint, nudge-nudge, wink-wink!**. On Monday they will culminate the study of the heart.

Following that,  they conducted an inquiry in small groups. They investigated reflexes, specifically reaction times when catching a falling object. The second investigation focused on optical illusions and the brain's ability to process information.

The students need to complete the analysis questions and jot notes for homework.

Task 1.
Materials
Science and technology textbook, 30 cm ruler, 1 lined sheet of paper and conversion table.
Read and complete activity on page 20  with a partner.

Task 2.
Answer questions 1 - 5 on page 21

Task 3.
Complete Reading Rainbow activity.
Materials poster paper and markers

Task 4.Answer the analysis questions .

Task 5.
Read pages 161 - 163 and make jot notes on a lined sheet of paper.
Title the note “The Nervous System.”







Art
The grades 5 - 8's worked on anti-bullying posters for next week. I'm looking forward to growing and learning during The Maples Anti-Bullying Awareness week.
