Today was a busy day.
The students wrapped up practicing speeches in class and read chapter 19 of the novel study.
During math the students explored whether games of chance were fair. We flipped coins, threw dice (number cubes) and played a sum game with dice.
Homework problems can be found on page 384 q. 1-5
We also had a visit from Mr. Sawatsky. He explained the value of learning and understanding probability. Furthermore, he discussed the practical and theoretical applications of probability.
Music
As usual after lunch the students had music lessons with Mrs. Angus. Parents please check their agenda to see which pieces they have been asked to practice.
Lastly, the students took up their homework on types of government.
Extension activity
1. Describe in kid friendly language the different types of governments you found.
2. Give examples of countries that currently apply the structures of governments you researched in the first part of this activity.
