Math
Grade 6 Lesson 2 - Exploring Thousandths
The grade 6's continued their exploration of decimals. Place value charts are useful tools to help organize decimal numbers. After the lesson, the grade 6's used their Math Makes Sense Text Books to complete exercise questions 1 - 5 (select any 3) on page 116.
Grade 5 Lesson 2 - equivalent decimals
The grade 5's learned how to write equivalent decimals. They can be represented in standard form, words, mixed numbers and with 100's grids.
Practice problems are 1 - 4 (select any 2) and questions 5 & 6. Also found on page 116 and 117 of the MMS - textbook.

Music
As usual after lunch the students had music lessons with Mrs. Angus. Parents please check their agenda to see which pieces they have been asked to practice.
After last recess there was a Caribou Contest. The remaining students did a creative writing activity.
