Nokamus and Geezus

Today's Agenda

UOI - Exhibition
Today, th estudents had an stimulating discussion with Ms. Shannon Pride from White Owl Native Ancenstry Association.

She taught us so much today and the students were on the edge of their seats. We learned about Smudge - traditional Ojibwa Medicines, drums, their creation story, the language and much more.

I want to personally thank Ms. Pride for the enriching experience she facilitated today.

Moving Up Day - Math
The grade 4's came to visit our class and the grade 6's went to visit Mr. Playford.
The current grade 5's and 6's are wrapping up their unit on decimals. The grade 5's worked on unit 4 Show What you Know and the grade 4's recieved an introductory lesson on decimals. They all measured their feet, most students gave whole rounded numbers. With a little help from their teacher they explored the numbers 'in between' whole numbers - Decimal numbers.

After the lesson they worked on addition practice problems.

Music
As usual after lunch the students had music lessons with Mrs. Angus. Parents please check their agenda to see which pieces they have been asked to practice.
