The grade 6’s continued
their Decimal and place value review. They completed the remaining problems on
page 218 and problems on 219.
The grade 7’s reviewed
fraction concepts, such as equivalent fractions, mixed numbers and improper
fractions. Please see syllabus for

An inquiry into language - Novel
Study
The
students read completed chapter 2 and chapter 3. They had their first
discussion topic.
“Why does Shannen
feel that the government’s decision discriminates against First Nations
children?”
Speeches
The
students completed a peer evaluation activity. They were given 45- seconds to
present a speech on various topics. After the presentation they used score
cards to evaluate their peers. The aim was to identify their own areas of
strength and weakness and work towards improving when they present their
finished piece of work.
