Our first of the month assembly happened after recess this morning. The students learned about empathy and caring from Mrs. Whitworth. Congratulations to Ben for being named this months principal's choice winner. When we returned to class, the students either put the finishing touches on their dragon story for language or worked on their OWA for this term.
During math class, grade 5's were shown how to add two decimal numbers by remembering to line up the decimal and put in any necessary zeros. Grade 6's built on this by also subtracting decimal numbers using the same ideas. Grade 5's completed questions from their textbook on p. 132 #2, 3, 5, 7, 8. Grade 6's were assigned p. 135 #2, 5-7.
Please remember that tomorrow we are skiing at Blue Mountain. The bus will be leaving at 7:30 am. Anyone driving should be at the hill by 8:45 am. The bus is scheduled to arrive back at the school by 4:30 pm.
