Gym
This morning the green team was victorious over yellow; 14
to 11 in a heated game of European handball. Player of the match goes to Rocket Ella, with a hat-trick. Keeper of the
match goes to Abbie who was a wall and made scoring for the green team very
challenging. We also did our fitness circuit before the game.
In Math the students worked from the homework books independently. This will be used to assess the
student’s understanding of congruent figures.
Congratulations to Abbie She shared with the class her
accomplishments in her most recent dance competition. She was 1st in
both the Hip-Hop and Jazz category.
Congratulations to Abby who finished high in her Highland Dance competition; 6th place.
In Art students wrote reflections about the forced perspective photographs they took last week. I was impressed with how students exhibited the IB attributes of 'communicator' and 'reflective' when completing the assignment. Amongst others, Bramley wrote
an excellent response to her reflection question.
"What does this work bring to mind?" Bramley said, “When I saw
this picture the first thing I thought was GODZILLA! A big hand is crushing the
water tower, now that’s CRAZY!”
In Language
students continued reading novels for literature circles and in a few lessons will be completely finished.
During Unit of Inquiry students worked in groups on interview questions, essay drafts or
research depending on the need.
Thanks for reading,
Mr. Hunt
