Today was spirit day and we had a lovely assembly.
For the month April, Bramley was the principal’s choice. The IB attributes she exhibited were;
balance and commitment. Over the past month the students have all worked extremely
hard on the exhibition project and preparing for the Spelling Bee. Bramley has shown great commitment to her academics
and extracurricular activities. Congratulations!
For the month of May the IB attributes are; integrity and principled.
In today’s Art lesson the students
began planning their art component of for their exhibition.
During Language
the students corrected their grammar skill 13.
The other half of the language lesson was the final
round of the Spelling Bee tournament.
The Spelling Bee was a nail biter,
down to the very last contestants. First place was decided early with Cole
winning the first seat. Four students
were tied for second; Ella, Ben, Molly, and Bramley. As the contest wore down
to the last 2 students, it was a back and forth between Ella and Bramley. Ella
put forth a valiant effort but Bramley came out on top.
Congratulations to our two finalists;
Cole and Bramley. Best of luck at the Knights of Columbus and make us proud.
During the Math lesson the students took up their homework and collaboratively
dissected tricky problems.
Special Event
Mrs. Nelson’s class challenged us to a
game of soccer baseball. It was a beautiful day so we couldn't turn them down.
It was mixed teams and everyone had a great time.
Lastly during the unit of inquiry the students had a work period. They used their time effectively to type up
their essays and discuss the planning journal.
Have a great weekend,
Aldaine
