The students used the first half of the Language lesson to continue working on their essays. During the second half of our Language lesson Mr. Playford was again the guest judge for our spelling Bee. The last qualification round will be held during tomorrows lesson.
Improper fractions and mixed numbers was the topic of the math
lesson today. The students learned how to convert between the two. I have
posted a fun and helpful video below for reference to aid with their homework.
Writing an effective conclusion was the aim of today’s unit of inquiry lesson. The students came
up with an excellent essay writing analogy. An essay is like a baseball game; the
pitch and a hit is the introduction; the three bases are your body paragraphs;
finally getting home is the conclusion. Tonight the students should be typing
up a complete essay which will including intro, body and conclusion for the next
lesson.
Essays need to be submitted by Monday.
