Ordinary day, extraordinary output -Tuesday May 5th, 2015

During Language the 1st half of the morning period was used to work on Language skills unit 14. The remainder of the questions are due on Monday May 11th, 2015.

The students used the second half of the period to work on Action plans and movie scripts. We are making good progress. The pressure is on as we wind down to the 20th. Thank you for the staff and parental support thus far.

In today’s math lesson the students learned about comparing and ordering fractions. The grade fives worked with proper fractions with different denominators and the grade sixes expanded on the skill by comparing improper fractions and mixed numbers. Remember to compare fractions with different denominators you must first find equivalent fractions so they can be compared directly.

The students learned how to use, pictures number lines and straight arithmetic to solve problems.
