With the majority of the grade 5/6 class out for Battle of The Books competition (BOTB) Oliver, Morgan, Karlynn, Abbie and Bramley stayed back for an awesome day of learning with yours truly.
We didn't have a French lesson because Madame is the lead teacher for BOTB competition. The students practiced their French component of their exhibition and worked on translations.
Gym was our next lesson and we had a fun period. The students decided to play soccer and floor hockey.
Thank you to Oliver who lead the class stretches.
We played a exciting game of floor hockey, we were short a player so I had to go in net. I did my best impersonation of Kerry Price.
During the soccer game Oliver and Bramley made a great team. Green scored 2 goals and the yellow was victorious with 3.
Player of the match is Bramley with 2 goals.
After lunch the students had a language lesson and they learned how to make citations in APA style.
The Unit of Inquiry lesson was busy to say the least. First the students continued to work on citations. The class switched gears and began brainstorming survey questions for the math component of the exhibition. Lastly, the students organized exhibition homework; group members were assigned jobs to bring in materials for Monday.
