The students collaborated on a word creation activity to create as many words in a timed session. The students used a word wheel provided by the teacher to create root words and then compound words.
Congratulations to Theta who scored the highest. I was impressed with everyone`s efforts as the each group was separated by a tiny margin.
Unit of Inquiry:
· Kingdom phylum, class ,order, family genus species
In the lesson students learned the hierarchy of classification and the rules in creating a classification pyramid. For homework they should begin to create the full classification pyramid for their animal used in their report or for a new animal.
Additional class time will be used to complete this assignment.
