We went to Theatre Orangeville and watched "Everything I Love About Christmas" with the grade 7/8's. The students seemed to enjoy the humour and music.
When we returned, there was enough time for the groups to work on their body system presentations in the unit of inquiry. After some research time, the students gathered around the TV (which was connected to my computer), so that I could show them how to use the slide presentation program. They learned about different layouts of slides, how to insert pictures and text, how to add a background and we tested out various slide transitions. This should provide them with the basic skills to be able to create a presentation.
Remember that tomorrow is a Christmas themed spirit day. Students should come in their red and green and Christmas attire.
