We decided to start the day with our job to get it over with. All the students cleaned their desks and shelf areas. After our cleaning, the class enjoyed an animated Disney Christmas show, "Prep and Landing."
When they returned from recess, they became the first class to compete in my "Reindeer Games". The first activity was answering some Christmas questions. There were a few that all the students knew and a couple that stumped them. For the second game, we went to the gym. The students performed a sleigh pulling relay on the scooter boards. The last activity was decoding Christmas carols that were titled using synonyms to disguise what song they really were. Congratulations to Ben, Cole and Garret for winning the competition.
At the end of the day, I opened the generous gifts from the students. Thank you parents! To complete the day we went back to the gym for a carol sing.
The only homework that the students have been assigned over the holidays is their speech.
I hope everyone has a safe, fun holiday season!
