Mr. Hunt - Grade 6

There was definitely some excitement/nervousness first thing this morning with the class speech presentations happening. All the students did a great job getting up in front of their peers and presenting their topic. Congratulations to Abbie, Abby, Cole, Ben and Ella who will be representing our class at the school speech competition next Wednesday afternoon in the gym. Thank you to all the parents to were able to come out today and support the students and for all the help behind the scenes with speech preparation. Everyone should be proud of their efforts.
After having their math lesson yesterday, the grade 6's were assigned p. 309/310 #1-4, 6 and 7 in their textbook and p. 132 #1 and p. 133 #1-5, SYT in their homework book. The grade 5's completed p. 126 #1, 2 and p. 127 #1, 2 and then had everything taken up from today and yesterday. They also received a lesson on converting metric units. They were assigned p. 128 from their homework book to practice.
Mr. P was able to install our Apple TV today, so the class gave it a test run by answering some math questions before beginning work on their menus and exercise programs for the unit of inquiry. Students are beginning to finish and corrections are being made.
