It was explained in class today, that the students should pick 3 potential topics or issues (they may come from the list we generated in class or their own ideas). In order to speed up the process of picking their actual exhibition topic, each student should do 15 minutes initial research/exploration on these top 3 topics from their list.

The groups will be created based on interest and I want them to make an informed choice. This homework assignment is not meant to be in depth. They can print off or take notes on what they do look up today to be included in their exhibition binder. Credit will be given for this work, it will fall under the research process.

Math

The grade 5's continued their work on calculating mass. They solved some tricky math problems page 217 questions 3 - 6 any remaining questions are for homework.
The grade 6's constructed a cubic metre, they will continue work in class tomorrow.

Today, the grade 5's and 6's compiled a large list of possible topics and issues to research. We discussed how the relate to the theme of the inquiry. I would like to emphasize the issues need to be close enough to home that they can make an impact.

GYM
The grrade 5 - 8 students completed a tough fitness circuit, triceps dips, planks, laps, and arm lifts.

This was a high scoring game yellow team taking an early lead. Green team had superb passing and team work. Great game!
