Spelling unit 20
Unit 13 Language skills
Bring in outstanding unsigned tests.
Student of the week - Morgan.
Last week, Morgan demonstrated excellent work ethic during math lessons. She also helps her peers with tricky problems. Way to go!
Math
The grade 5's and 6's took up their homework, 'equivalent decimals' and thousandths decimal numbers.
The grade 5's began work on 'Lesson 3- Comparing and Ordering Decimals'.
Language
Unit 19 spelling tests were returned, parents please sign and have them returned to school. Unit 20 spelling test were administered. The students had a work period for Grammar skills unit 13 and spelling unit 20, both will be due on Monday April 25th.
French

Journal entry 3
Please give an update on the progress you made this week on your project. Please write a reflection about what you learned from the guest speakers this week. Which IB attribute have you demonstrated this week? Include anything else you would like to share.
In Exhibition tutorial lesson today the students were given instruction on creating a good action and interviewing.
Interview subject should be brainstormed and questions should be completed by the end of the week. The interview will take place as soon as possible, of course depending on the interviewees schedule.
A good action
- involves the entire class
- has a measurable outcome
- involves the wider school community
- something that can be adopted to your everyday life
They used the remainder of the period to work on their project.
Gym
Track and field training begins. Thank you to Alex and Kayleigh for leading the stretches. The students ran a few warm up laps to prepare for 1500 m run next week.
Following the laps they played a thrilling match of capture the flag.
