Math
Grade 5 - Ordering and Comparing Decimals
The grade 5's used 4 methods to compare and order decimal numbers:
- Base 10 blocks
- Place value chart
- Using equivalent decimals
- Number lines
They then learned how to round numbers with hundredths place vale to the nearest tenth and whole number.
UOI
The students worked on their action plan and interview questions. I met with each group to check progress, help with areas of concern and brainstorm where needed.
Language
Persuasive letters were returned and the students made their revisions. Please submit the typed second draft tomorrow. Remember to include a variety of transition words. Please ask your son or daughter for one they learned today.
Music
As usual after lunch the students had a music lesson with Mrs. Angus. Parents please check their agenda to see which pieces they have been asked to practice.
