Student of the week Cole. Last week, Cole and his group member made excellent progress on their Exhibition Project. Great work!
Math
The grade 5's and 6's took up homework for adding decimals and adding/subtracting decimals, respectively.
This was followed by an introductory lesson on the metric system. I was impressed by how knowledgeable the students were.
Language
Spelling - pre-test unit 21.
Grammar skills 14 work period.
Novel Study - The first reading group began their novel study today. The Master Puppeteer by Katherine Paterson. We were introduced to Jiro the son of Hanji, an excellent craftsman. Jiro will stumble upon a dangerous secret, I look forward to how it will end (no spoilers here).
UOI
Surveys - Today the students reviewed how to create a survey. They need to complete a survey that relates to their project and display their data on a graph or graphs.
The rest of the time was used as a work period.
Gym
Thank you to Marissa and Violet who lead the stretches.
