An inquiry into Mathematics

As usual, the students began the day with Mad Minute Multiplication exercises. Following this activity, the students completed their first benchmark assessment for grade 6.  The results will be communicated home in the upcoming weeks.

The student worked on their IB portfolios and learner profile posters during catch up time.

Unit of inquiry

The students were introduced to A Voyage back in Time. This unit will explore the rituals, gods, architecture, food, customs etc., of the ancient Greek, Egyptian and Roman civilizations.

Early civilizations have shaped how the world is today.

·       Physical and social aspects of ancient civilizations

·       The contributions that ancient civilizations have made toward contemporary societies

The students completed their KWL table and posted their burning questions on the IB board. The unit will begin on Monday.
