Mr. Hunt - Grade 6

Language skills take up was the first job of the day. After, we went to the gym to do a trial run of our first of the month assembly. You can see from the pictures below that the students enjoyed the task I gave them.
In math, the grade 5's started work on perimeter and area of rectangles using grids. They were assigned p. 321/322 #1, 2, 4, 6 and 7 in the textbook and p. 134 #1 and p. 135 #1-3, SYT in the homework book. The grade 6's had their area and perimeter of rectangles taken up.
A list of "to do's" was put on the board for the afternoon. Students needed to finish their ASCII art, the meal and exercise plan for the unit of inquiry and their prep work for the assembly. The unit of inquiry project is due on Monday. Several finished with extra time left to complete unfinished work.
