There was an extended math period this morning. Grade 6's started immediately with questions on area and perimeter of rectangles. They were working from their textbook on p. 348/349 #1, 2, 4-10. The grade 5's had their work from the previous day corrected and received a lesson on perimeter and area using grids.
During language, the grade 5's read chapter 6 in "Sadako" and answered some questions. Grade 6's took up chapter 6 and started reading chapter 7.
At the end of the day, the students continued their project for the unit of inquiry. Some students are completed, but others will require tomorrows class to finish. Students can hand in their completed menus and exercise programs on Monday.
