Mr. Hunt - Grade 6

After missing gym on Monday, due to the snow day, the students were excited to go down and play a basketball game. They started with some warm-up laps dribbling basketballs and then beat the goal of getting more than 10 layups (12 in total) in 2 minutes. The game went well and it was good to see everyone participating.
In math, the grade 6's created a formula for finding the area of a triangle, then practiced using it on p. 356/357 #1-3, 5-7 in their textbook. The grade 5's solved a real life problem by finding the perimeter of a room. They were assigned p. 136 #1-3 and p. 137 32 and SYT in their homework book.
For the afternoon, we watched/presented speeches. Congratulations to all the students for presenting such excellent speeches. A special congratulations goes out to Abby for winning in the junior division and to Cole and Ben for finishing 2nd and 3rd.
