The grade 6's had their "Bridge to Terabithia" comprehension test this morning in language. Everyone completed it well before the end of the period and had some time to begin the review questions in math. The tests were graded and returned to the students by lunch. Grade 5's worked with their partners on their two narratives.
It was review day in math for both grades. Grade 5's had a brief take up of area of irregular shapes and then both grades worked on the "Show What You Know" section at the back of the chapter. All the students were encouraged to complete the questions they have difficulty with first and to make sure they asked questions when they were confused.
Immediately after music, the students got into their groups for dance. All three groups settled on the type of dance they wanted to do. The dances selected are the can-can, hula and a Scottish dance.
We were joined by Mr. Hunt in the afternoon while we worked on the unit of inquiry. Students met with their partners to research the holiday/celebration/festival that they chose and select pictures that matched their research.
Please remember to return any skiing, skating or lunch forms.
