Gym
This morning the students had a game of Baseball. It was a lot of fun! The students practiced throwing and catching, then played a quick game. Thank you to Jasmine who led the stretching and warm ups.

Garret brought in a electric guitar he created out of Lego. Using a special computer he programmed it to play and have the ability to tune like a real guitar. Very impressive!
Abbie showed us the trailer to the future summer blockbuster Bacon (see pictures below).
Molly showed the class her new monkey pencil case.

Math
Both math lessons were on the topic of estimating. The grade 5's learned how to estimate quotients and products and the grade 6's estimated to find percentages.
This lesson built on prior skills of making equivalent fractions. They then used it to problem solve

Due on Tuesday (no math lesson on Monday, SJA v TMA Spelling Bee).
Language
The students took up chapters 4, 5, and 6 activities and begun chapters 7, 8 and 9. All students were assigned a character table to be completed for Monday, the description of at least 3 characters.

Unit of inquiry
For the unit of inquiry students took up the Charter questions and had a provocative discussion of which rights are the most important. Many students believed that equality rights are the most important.
