This morning we had a guest at The Maples Academy, Logan. Over the past month the entire community has been raising money for his operation. This initiative was spearhead by Ben and his siblings with help from his parents. Today they presented Logan and his father with a cheque for $4000. Thanks you to all of the families that supported the bake sale, the PTA Casino Night donations and everyone who donated. Excellent job, I'm very proud of you Ben.

Congrats to Ben coming 1st for grade 5's in the SJA vs TMA Spelling Bee.
Excellent job to Bramley and Cole who did very well.
Congratulations to the grade 6's that did very well. Abby placed second and Karlynn and Abbie gave an excellent effort.
Language
The students had discussion about chapters 7 - 9 and the character summaries done over the weekend. The students begun reading chapters 10 - 13. We will continue work during next lesson.
Unit of inquiry
The students looked at the 3 level of government. The started the in depth look at the federal branch.
