Dance
Groups were chosen by the all-knowing Magic Hat, the students picked a genre of Dance to choreograph a begun to brainstorm songs for their dance routine.
Off to a good start:
Math
Grade 5 continued on their work relating fractions to decimals. Those students that have a few questions remaining are to complete them from page 278 questions 1 - 9 and 11.
Grade six students learned how to relate percents to decimals and fractions. Their homework can be found on page 314 questions 1 - 6, 8 and 10.
During lunch we had a show and share from Abbie. We were wowed by the latest Skyridge Production. It was a scary movie starring Abbie, Jason and Lauren. Excellent job!
The students continued their novel study. We took up our summaries, Venn diagram's and shared the predictions for the next chapter. Students were assigned chapters 4, 5, and 6 to read with activities to complete. This is due on Friday.
For the first 30 minutes after recess students worked on OWA's, DRA's and/or novel study.
Unit of inquiry
Lastly, for unit of inquiry the students read a examples of how the rights are protected. Tomorrow they will complete questions based on the reading and Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
