We began our day with the unit of inquiry. All the groups were able to complete their powder testing and determine a guilty person (shame on you Mrs. Burke). The guilty party will be formally charged once the write ups are finished. We will be starting our new unit of inquiry next week, which is ancient civilizations. We will be focusing on Egypt, Greece and Rome.
After the recess we had our math test. Most were able to finish during the period. Those tests will be graded and returned as soon as possible.
Following a rare afternoon French class, the students worked in groups to take up their language skills.
For the last period of the day, we had art. Every year, The Maples has students create posters for the Lion's Club Peace Poster Contest. This year the theme is "Peace, Love and Understanding." Students received instruction about proper sketching and pencil crayon use. They also were able to look at the winning posters from last year to help them come up with ideas for their own.
Have a great weekend!
