We needed to finish our discussion in health about long term alcohol use, so that's what we began our day with. The students presented their research and we talked about how these things effect a person.
In language, the students presented their literature circle jobs for the second day. They all had an opportunity to read and complete their jobs.
The net went up for volleyball in gym class so that students could practice serving. We went through, step by step, the proper serving technique. Everyone was able to successfully serve over the net at least once. Next week they will be combining all their skills to this point to simulate a game situation.
Math class started with the grade 5's getting right to work on solving number patterns. They were assigned p. 8 #3-6 in their textbook. The grade 6's were responsible for catching up on work from the previous day.
The last period of the day was art where the students continued with their peace posters. Several students are getting close to being finished and are adding touch ups that are recommended to them.
Have a great weekend!
