We started the day together with math. The grade 5's had their worked checked and then were given word problems that utilized several of their math skills. They were assigned p. 69/70 #1a, 2-5 in their textbook. The grade 6's were asked to complete the questions in their textbook that they started yesterday. Their questions involved many steps and lots of application of knowledge. I have heard about students starting the review already and practicing older concepts and it's great to hear them taking that initiative.
In language, the students worked on their interviews. The finished people had their work check by me and received input on how to improve their writing. Tomorrow as a class we'll go over editing and constructive criticism.
I was at cross country in the afternoon, so the remaining students went to grade 7/8 or grade 3/4.
