Mr. Hunt - Grade 6

Groups received an extended work period to begin their ancient civilization brochures for the unit of inquiry. Students were able to research, write and insert pictures into their brochures. All groups have had a great start.
In math, the grade 6's practiced using attributes to describe polygons and were assigned p. 88/89 #1-6. Grade 5's had their work from yesterday taken up. They made various shapes using the geoboard and then tried out a geometry app on the tablets to make shapes. They were assigned p. 82/82 #2-4 in their textbook.
Music was cancelled today so we began work on our Christmas concert presentation. We are using the children's book "Ten on the Sled" and making a few changes to suit our class.
