Our Friday started by taking up language skills. Next, we had drama. The students did an activity where they performed one action while saying that they were doing another. The second student would then start performing that action and a new student would enter. The students kept the activity going for a long time and a couple really displayed their acting skills.
After recess, the students continued with the math questions on angles. The grade 5's took up their work with me and the grade 6's worked together to solve some problems they had. Both groups answered questions from their homework book.
In the afternoon, we took up a health page that the students had completed. There were several questions about alcohol and alcohol use, so we went over scenarios where alcohol could be offered to them when they get older and role played how they would handle it.
We concluded the day with our ancient civilizations museum for the unit of inquiry. The students set up exhibits to show off their artifacts and information pages. Several students from other classrooms and even some parents attended. Great job everyone!
Have a great weekend!
