The first goal we had as a class today was to go through our whole Christmas concert performance without any errors. It took the students a few tries, but they were successful. We were also able to squeeze in a gym class this morning before the set up for the Christmas concert started. The students played a tightly contested floor hockey game that ended in a 2-1 score.
After first recess, the students completed their math test.
We began the afternoon in the gym for our Christmas concert practice. The students played their instruments and performed "Eleven on the Sled". They seem prepared for tomorrow's concert in front of a real audience.
In the final period for the unit of inquiry we made a list of the different systems and what they do for the body. Some students asked good questions about how they work together and whether they are all necessary for us to live.
