Lesson 4 - Rounding numbers
Grade 5 and 6
Grade 5's worked on Math Makes Sense page 126 Questions 1,2,3,4, and 8
Grade 6's worked on pages 127 ,128 questions 1,2,3,4,8, and 9
The grade 6's learned to round decimal numbers with to the hundredths decimal place and the grade 5's learned to the tenths.

UOI
Citations lessons -
Today the students began to set up their bibliographies for their project and essay. They need to create a Google Document to share their project bibliography with their group members, mentors and myself. Then using the website demonstrated in class, collect the references used so far for their project.
Peer evaluations -
The students had an opportunity to reflect on their work thus far. Apart of the reflective process is to assess how well you collaborate with one another. There will be a final peer evaluation at the end of the project.
Language
Compare and contrast formal persuasive letter to a informal (friendly) letter. The students identified key differences and similarities in the sample letters, and completed a Venn diagram exercise.
Gym
50 m races - Training for the sprints
Today the students completed a 1 km run in preparation for the 1500 m race.
Please be prepared to run the race next week, weather dependent.
