Let the real work begin! The students started the day with a friendly game. The aim of Chase, is to use multiplication facts and order of operations to solve problems. This was a warm up activity and the students had a great time.
This was followed by Mad Minute. The purpose of Mad Minute is to have daily practice of multiplication facts.
Math Makes Sense Unit 2 - Whole Numbers
The students completed their pre-test assessment. As a class we analyzed the questions and determined the success criteria for the unit (both grades).

Today, the students started the language program for spelling and grammar. The spelling and grammar skills activities will be assigned on Monday's and are due every Friday.

Developmental reading assessment (DRA)
The students began their DRA assessments today. The remainder of the period was used as a work period to complete spelling.
